Web Diaries - Reality Internet - Mediacast Network

Today's Web Diary Updates 2008 - 02 -12

Over the weekend and around the clock we have been busy developing the Network. As promised Canada and Australia are now live. Some of the work now is fall back like today we updated a piece in Home and Lifestyle and other channels across the Network. The channels and portals eventually will be updated on a daily and weekly basis. But when we are building a traditional Global Internet Service as similar to Netcenter back in the mid to late nineties. You have to be focused on the main job in hand and sometimes have to be brutal and refine later.

Behind the scenes marketing and advertising is being compiled for each service and some are now being promoted all with a bigger picture.

Some advertising managers cannot grasp the enormity and size of the project and are shooting themselves in the foot due to impatience, resulting from lack of knowledge of our industry.

I have not got time right this minute, but I will write very soon a couple of tutorials on 'Collaboration Partnerships' and 'Name Association' branding to help Managers grasp the bigger picture and to understand how reckless, poor decision making impacts on the client long term.

More channels are being updated this week and new ones coming on-line that will include Suffolk 247 and Norfolk 247. The reason being is that we are picking up from our stats traffic data and wish to capture these new visitors.

Late News today, we are pleased to have join us as advertising and store partners BT and Virgin Mobile today!

Today's Web Diary Updates 2008-02-07

Today we have started some of our marketing! Leading up to our marketing in earnest, at the beginning of March. Our on-line advertising campaigns are placement advertising in text and graphical. We DO NOT do Keywords, as we have a great relationship with our partners and I believe in integrity and the protection of intellectual property rights. Only certain publications are considered that reflect our existing and new users. The publications we advertise on are long established, time honoured organizations such as CNN, New York Times, Daily Telegraph, The Times, Mac World, Computer Active and Web User to mention a few.

We hope to have more channels completed this week and once all International channels are live we will then concentrate on Regional Channels.

Today's Web Diary Updates

Today it heartens me with the efforts of partners sending in their Newsletter. All their efforts are not in vain as all will be introduced onto the Network in the relevant areas with dedicated pages of content. Thanks to Jamie about Dell offers and the Hewlett Packard team news. I am also please to welcome United Arab Emirates Airline and Symantec. Over the weekend Home base joined us and will figure well this years on our Home and Lifestyle Channel and Gardeners Diary Channel.

The new India Channel has gone live and this week the Canadian and Australian Channels. Hopefully also this week other States of Asia Pacific region will also be available. Keep sending in your News and I promise it will get published for our Home and Business users. Cheers!

Today's Web Diary Updates

Past seven days has been eventful, especially yesterday that Microsoft have put a bid in for Yahoo! I wrote back in October or November that they were digging around to get back into the content delivery business. Oh my how right I was again!!!!

So for some of our partner Managers, who suffer from Gold Fish Bowl Itus, that's precisely why I have been working out the architecture for the Mediacast Network as I knew this was the future way ahead.

So the good news is that we are still on target to start slinging our weight about in advertising. We now have over 120 Market Leading Brands and Organizations. We are delighted to have on-board this week Microsoft (Oh what a coincidence), Sony, Sky Digital, Time Warner, Walt Disney and many more great names. If I list them all, I'll run out of web storage space on this server and you'll accuse me of boasting!

Today's Web Diary Updates
I have been running a few crafty stats this past four weeks on global reach and traffic. If anyone of my friends that are always spying on my Network and Workstations, they'll wonder what the hells going on. Sorry Double Click!

But my results have enabled me with just a few tests to hit a global reach and web audience from the stats of 1% of web users. In less than four weeks, so my number crunching is working. So when we get going in March serious we should start getting around 3 million unique visitors and when we hit the City Streets in the Summer I hope we'll be on target next fall for 15 million a month and run into next Christmas of around 35 - 40 Million.

All the channels have been built, but there will be fall back for News and updates, so eventually services will be updated as and when required. By bringing a team on-line. I have added a few tech channels for PC and Tech support. These being the main vendor partners. I have asked them for their input in the way of press releases, alerts and articles.

All these services will be available from the Mediacast Network Landing page. The desktops are on target and a few of these will be available to use shortly with different flavours. You know Girlie colours, or hey dude, super geek puse colour.

The rest of the Network is falling into place, we are bringing on-line the Country and Continent portal channels and will be launching initially 28 global regions and in 5 languages. The more will come on-line over time once resources and team members are in place.

Subject to how Yahoo and Microsoft are going to pan out. A re-think maybe required in relation to our current search engine build project with Yahoo if Microsoft shelve it. I have more news at our Foundation and Academy site on the projects which is http://www.rncsa.org/projects/

Before I forget if anyone wants to know what ever happened to 'Rocket Fuel Marc Andreessen', especially with the recent closure and demise of our beloved ole Netscape and browser. For the past month, I have had on the Mediacast Network home page, his new 'Thingey Ning' for building your own social networking site!
